Daddy Pete's Plant Pleasers

One of the best ways to keep your plants happy is to have good soil and Daddy Pete's potting mixes, soil amendments and mulches are the best around!  Learn more about these great products at: www.daddypetes.com/

Friends of Felines
If you've been to The Patch, you know how we feel about cats!  We're very lucky to be working with the Friends of Felines organization in their
trap/spay neuter/vaccinate and return program.  This program is vital in helping to keep the feral cat populations down.
Check them out at: www.friendsoffelines.org/

Wilmington Fur Ball
Considering how we feel about caring for our ferrel cat community, it just makes sense that we're involved with the Wilmington Fur Ball.  This wonderful event supports Pender County's No-kill Shelter and Adopt-an-Angel.
Learn more about the event at www.wilmingtonfurball.com.  See you there!

We can't resist showing off cats who have been helped through Friends of Felines and are now living happily at The Patch!

This is Tripod.  He's been around here longer than most employees!  Anything that happens in the plant and nursery area has to go through him.....
Guess why his name's Tripod....  When he was taken to the vets to get fixed, we discovered that he'd already been fixed and his right hind leg had been surgically removed.
Now he spends his days keeping the other cats in line and receiving well-deserved scratches from our customers.

Here's the Queen Bee - Sylvester.
She's in charge of the Gift Shop and Florist.  As Tresa says - "When  Lou's Flower Patch reopened, we got he keys from Sylvester."

Meet Valley Girl and one of her kittens.  She showed up in early October 2007 and was obviously nursing. From the way she acted, we knew she had been someone's cat; she was very friendly and completely at home in the gift shop. We finally saw her kittens about three weeks after she had shown up.  She had four - two orange and two black.
